Who is Everest?

Let me tell you about why we are called Everest Realty! When picking a name for our brokerage, that wouldn’t be too cliche - I started with what do I love? What am I passionate about? All the obvious things crossed my mind, my family, my dog, etc… nothing that would really fit for a Real Estate Company.

After a few more weeks of pondering, I was really stuck on my dog - Everest! But who names their real estate business after their dog?! Would that be too weird? Would people wonder why does this lady have a dog on her sign? Maybe.. but let me tell you a funny/not so funny story about my favorite dog, Everest!

We adopted Everest, an Australian Shephard/Border Collie from Brown Paws Rescue based out of Edgerton, WI when she was 8 weeks old. She was such a cute fluffy, fluff ball - we loved her right away! It wasn’t long into Everest’s time with us that we started to notice Everest doesn’t seem to like people that aren’t in our inner circle. Fast forward 6 months, we have a Behaviorist that we meet with regularly for our extremely, stranger reactive dog. We lived smack dab in the middle of a residential neighborhood, letting Everest outside to go potty - or just hang out, was difficult with all the activity going by our house. So, we moved. We purchased a farmette where Everest is living her best life in the peacefulness of the Wisconsin Countryside. It’s remembering our motivation to move that got me thinking - maybe it would make sense to have a dog on my sign!

Everest Realty was born. Our tagline - “Let’s find a backyard that will make your dog smile!” How fitting is that?!
